Application Testing with the IP Commerce Sandbox
Using Commerce Toolkit for Applications and the Toolkit Test Kit provides developers with implicit access to the IP Commerce Sandbox. This commerce-enabled application testing environment functions as an automated request/response system that validates transaction messages and issues immediate feedback in the form of PTLS responses designed to simulate interaction with real payment service providers, allowing developers to test the full range of payment services they expect their applications to support.
The Sandbox ensures that PTLS request messages are well-formed, complete, correct, and meaningful. Responses generated by the Sandbox detail the results of message validation, and enable developers to take corrective action if request messages are incorrect.
Application Certification
After your commerce-enabled application is fully tested, it must be certified by IP Commerce. Certification ensures that applications comply with the PTLS specification and other service-specific standards, and are ready to properly transact on the IP Commerce Platform.
IP Commerce provides test scripts as part of the certification process. These scripts help developers send sets of PTLS messages to the Platform, the results of which must be submitted to IP Commerce.
